Sam Donaldson
Sam hosts courageous conversations, brave learning spaces and slow, sacred retreats, helping people and organisations to make sense of and live well within this time…
Tuesday 6 August - Tuesday 10 September
The live Zoom sessions are at 19:00-21:00 (UK time) every Tuesday
The Religious Society of Friends is changing rapidly, with established ways of being and working together giving way to new paths. This is a chance to survey this scene and to explore courageously and creatively where the Spirit may be leading.
Rather than burying our heads in the sand, this course will encourage us to face this challenging time head on. We will explore how, in the midst of all this change, we can learn from and give rest to the old while embracing the new.
The course will take us on a journey through Joanna Macy’s ‘Active Hope’ cycle, but will also engage with a variety of different frameworks and models, inviting us to explore what it might mean to ‘refound’ and ‘rewild’ Quakerism, asking us what important work there is for us to be getting on with here.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
