Come, drink in the transformational wisdom of Quaker spirituality through chant! Drawing on the chants from her album, Wellsprings of Life: Quaker Wisdom in Chant, Paulette will lead us in singing, exploring, and embodying this profound spiritual wisdom.
Chanting, or repetitive singing, allows us to store the chant’s message in our deep memories. There will be brief times of silence between chants and time for sharing what rises in us as we sing them. We will explore the Quaker context of the texts used in the chants and come away with a deeper appreciation of them!
While the full vibrational experience of chanting happens best in an in-person group setting, we’ll use pre-mixed recordings with multiple voices so that participants, with mics necessarily muted over Zoom, will hear their voice blending with a chorus of other voices. While viewing each other’s faces on the screen, we can feel united in that chorus!
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
