Wednesday 4 September - Wednesday 25 September
The live Zoom sessions are at 19:30-21:00 (UK time) every Wednesday.
What does it mean to be a man in today’s world? This course will explore the foundations of the often-avoided questions that relate to how men show up in the world and find ways to hold the inevitable tensions that arise when answering them.
Our sessions we will draw upon the Courage & Renewal approach, as designed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal, including the Touchstones for Creating Trustworthy Space; as well as reflecting on ideas held in poetry, evocative imagery, stirring music and thought-provoking prose.
There will be opportunities for stillness, personal reflection, journaling on questions, invitational sharing in small groups of two or three and time to speak into the larger circle of the group.
Whilst we explore these universal questions and ideas, we will each find our own personal meaning and shared connection, supporting us to grow our courage.
“We rarely hear the inward music, but we’re all dancing to it nevertheless.” – Rumi
“The soul speaks its truth only under quiet, inviting, and trustworthy conditions.” – Parker J Palmer
