Are you a new, recent or returning Quaker Clerk? In this one-day course, we share clear information about what Clerking entails and provide pointers to becoming a better clerk.
Whether you would appreciate some clear guidance on clerking a Business Meeting or are looking for support in how to be best organised, this course will be of use. It could also be good revision if you’re taking on the role again after a gap.
This online day course will be facilitated by two experienced Clerks. There will be time as a whole group as well as a chance to share with each other in smaller break out groups.
A Resource Page is available to support this course. The link will be emailed to participants a week in advance, with instructions on pre-reading and tasks. You should allow about 2 hours for these activities. Further resources and information will be made available after the course ends. These can be accessed for up to a month.
This course will give you a firm foundation to your Clerking role. If you would like to supplement this with time to explore clerkship in more detail and/or in person, we hope to be offering longer courses, both online and in-person, during 2025.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
