Being a Quaker Grandparent

What is the role of grandparenting in my life journey? Can grandparenting deepen my spiritual seeking? In this online course we will share our experiences, joys and concerns together to deepen our perspective on our role as Grandparents.

How we grandparent has so many variations and possibilities. Some don’t see their grandchildren at all. Others live with their children and their children’s children. Some live in Tokyo and their grandchildren in Milwaukee. They Zoom several times a week to read to them, play games and hear how school is going. Others take their grandchildren to Meeting. They’d never get there otherwise. Others have long talks with my teen-age grandchildren including talks about religion and Quakerism.

In these four exploratory sessions we will be prompted by questions and be responsive to each other’s contributions with a view to building spiritual community together.
