Thursday 12 September - Thursday 17 October
The live Zoom sessions are every Thursday at 20:00-21:00 (UK time)
This course explores the spiritual journey of parenting. How do we ‘Take heed of love and truth’ with the young humans in our care? It is for parents wanting to learn how to be more present and compassionate with ourselves and our families
The centrifugal forces on parents seem to constantly be pulling us away from our center. How do we remain ‘still and cool’ in the midst of the joys and challenges of family life? How do we ‘live simply’ when the tsunami of plastic toys and cheap clothes overwhelm us?
Come and learn some wonderful mindfulness tools to support greater stillness, wisdom, and kindness.
In each of the six sessions, we will explore a way to cultivate calm inner peace; for example, mindfulness of the body and mindfulness of breathing. We will explore ways in which we get pulled away from these anchors and how to bring mindfulness and compassion to these experiences. There will be times in breakout rooms to discuss how stillness is supporting you and to share what the challenges are in staying connected to it. You will be encouraged to practice every day the mindfulness exercises and journal about your experiences.
As this course involves small group discussion in break out rooms, co-parents joining the course together may wish to consider whether you are most comfortable joining on separate devices or staying together on one device.
On the booking form, there is a chance for you to let us know about any accessibility or communication adjustments that will enable you to participate more fully in the course. Automated Zoom closed captions are available for all live sessions but if you feel you require more accurate closed captioning please email us directly in addition to booking.
