Simpler Roles: Doing Things Differently

This informal and informative session will give you an opportunity to explore how Quaker roles can be simplified to “release Friends’ energy to follow our leading” (BYM, Minute 17, 2023).

Through looking at examples, discussing alternative approaches and sharing experiences, you will feel more confident to find ways to consider simpler roles in your own context.

There will be a lively mixture of ideas, a few challenges, group discussion and Q&A exploring one of modern Quakerism’s recurring issues.

A Resource Page is available to support this course. The link will be emailed to participants a week in advance, with a video to watch and reflect upon. You should allow about an hour for this. Further resources and information will be made available after the session ends. These can be accessed for up to a month.
